Signifeye was born out of passion for eye care and the belief that collaboration across practice borders is the key to providing the highest quality of ophthalmic care. We bring experienced ophthalmologists together in a unique network, with each specialist contributing to the group with their own expertise, experience and local reputation. Signifeye believes in the power of shared knowledge, respects the uniqueness of each local practice and ophthalmologist, and actively encourages entrepreneurship. At the same time, we strive for a strong group dynamic which promotes the exchange of best practices and stimulates and facilitates investments in the latest technology and equipment. This allows us to create the best possible conditions for both patients and doctors, ranging from outstanding patient experiences and high-quality equipment to efficient practice management.
Signifeye stands out because of its unique ownership model, with more than 90% of our shares being owned by our ophtalmologists and staff. This in-house involvement means that our policies and future are shaped by people who know our patients well, rather than by external capital or management. This creates a collaborative model that puts the interests of patients and doctors first. This approach has made Signifeye the largest alliance of ophthalmologists in Belgium, an organisation that is truly ‘by doctors, for doctors’. Although it is not an obligation, every doctor has the opportunity to become a shareholder of our group. In this way, each ophtalmologist can contribute to – and reap the benefits of – our cooperation across practice borders as a true entrepreneur.
