We are very proud to share the commitment of the team from Oogcentrum Brugge, which recently spent two weeks working in Uganda. Dr Heintz, Dr Blanckaerts, Ann Longueville and Catherine Verdegem performed free cataract operations there and helped numerous people with other eye conditions.
Their mission not only had a medical impact, but also brought hope and perspective to patients who often have no access to eye care. A special moment was the meeting with the Minister of Health, who recognised and appreciated their work.
